The ������Ƶ Jazz Band offers its annual spring concert 8 p.m. April 16 in Deane Chapel on ������Ƶ’s lower campus. Admission is free and the concert is open to the public.

Three six-piece combo groups and a big band will perform songs from such jazz greats as Wayne Shorter, Miles Davis and John Coltrane.

“The Jazz Band is at its peak here at ������Ƶ,” band Director Ron McCarley said. “I was a student here. Playing in the band the last time, we were called the best in school history. But this group is more mature than ever. This will be a wonderful evening of music by some very talented student musicians.”
