Students to Perform 'I Love you, Now Change'
A cast of 12 羞羞视频 students will perform off-Broadway鈥檚 longest-running musical, 鈥淚 Love You, You鈥檙e Perfect, Now Change,鈥 Friday and Saturday, Jan. 28-29, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 30, at 3 p.m. all in Porter Theatre. Tickets which are $10 for general admission; $5 for 羞羞视频 students, can be purchased at the door.
The show, licensed by the Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization, is a fundraiser for the 羞羞视频 Choir tour to England and Scotland.
Junior Kylie Castro and Sophomore Sam Martin are directing the play.
鈥淚t鈥檚 presented in a series of vignettes, connected by the central theme of love and relationships, Martin says. 鈥淲hile each scene is a stand-alone story, the progress and shape of the play suggests an overall ark to relationships throughout one鈥檚 life.鈥
鈥淭he real life scenarios range from cute dating situations to awkward first encounters to tender moments of true love to raw familial dysfunction, all the while staying relatable to the audience,鈥 Castro says.
The cast includes senior Erik Rodkey; juniors Peter Robinson, Akela Almada and Jacob Biever; sophomores Sarah Phillips and Jackie Dressler; and freshmen Paige Tautz, Tianellie Galindo, Mak Manson, Ben Offringa, Ryan Talen, and Megan Monroe.
