羞羞视频 Faculty to Perform Fall Recital

羞羞视频 professors offer a musically diverse program when they present the Fall Faculty Recital in Deane Chapel Friday, Sept. 18, at 8 p.m. The program features vocal and instrumental pieces ranging from classical to jazz, offering community members and students a taste of the breadth and depth of the department. The event is free and open to the public.

Highlights include Santa Barbara composer Emma Lou Diemer performing 鈥淗omage to Paderewski鈥 on piano with violinist Philip Ficsor, Valerie Malvinni performing a viola concerto by Franz Anton Hoffmeister, and saxophonist Craig Thomas and pianist John Douglas performing 鈥淪crapple from the Apple鈥 by Charlie Parker. The program concludes with pianist Neil Di Maggio and baritone Michael Shasberger, Adams professor of worship and music, performing a set of songs by Handel, Britten and Ives whimsically entitled 鈥淲ild Things.鈥

鈥淭he faculty recital is important to us as musicians,鈥 says Steve Butler, who chairs the department. 鈥淚t鈥檚 also valuable for students who will hopefully be inspired toward mastery of their own musical endeavors.鈥
